* Fall SAGA CampoutFall SAGA Campout

We are now taking signups for SAGA’s Fall Campout, September 15 – 17, 2023 at the El Prado Group Campground in the Mt. Laguna area of San Diego County. The deadline for signing up is August 30, 2023 or until the trip is full. The trip is a joint venture with LA and San Diego, so it promises to be festive as usual. About the trip. El Prado is located near Mt. Laguna, in the Cleveland National Forest, about 45 miles east of San Diego. The group campsite is roomy with plenty of adjacent parking and provides privacy from other campers. It is located just east of San Diego, south of Julian, and east of Cuyamaca State Park at an elevation of about 5,200 feet in the mountains that separate the coastal region from the eastern deserts. As you know, SAGA rents group campsites to provide room and privacy, and collects a single fee to cover the costs of the campsite, supplies, food and beverages. These funds are then used to reimburse those that purchase supplies for the trip. The cost for the weekend is $98 per person. You do not have to be a member of SAGA LA or SAGA San Diego but you must sign the waiver on the signup form to participate. Driving directions to the camp and a list of campers and their assignments will be e-mailed to all participants just prior to the trip. More details of the trip are on the flyer attached. You can signup by completing the signup form at https://sagasd.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/08/inf_91.pdf and sending payment (payable to SAGA) to me at 4305 California Ave, Long Beach CA 90807-2415. Don't expect your check to clear until about one week before the campout, but I will email campers when I receive your signup so you know I received it. We hope you can join us on our 90th campout over the past 43 years! If you have any questions, let me know.
